General conditions

Disturbed weather conditions in the region with snowfalls and strong winds due to a deep depression on Italy, on Fryday mostly settled weather conditions with increasing pressure.

Afternoon-Evening Tuesday 9 March

Very cloudy or overcast except for remaining partial clear-ups in the Dolomites early in the afternoon, with increasing chance of snowfalls in the mountains and in the plain; yet chance of snow mixed up with rain on the coast and in the Eastern plain. Below average temperatures especially during the day, feeling of cold due to North-eastern strong wind.

Wednesday 10 March

Sky conditions: Very cloudy or overcast.
Precipitations: High risk of snowfalls (80/100%) in the mountains and in a vast part of the plain; chance of snow mixed up with rain on the coast, in the Eastern plain and at the foot of the mountains in the Eastern areas.
Temperatures: Slightly rising temperatures during the night and slightly below average temperatures; slightly falling temperatures during the day and significantly below average temperatures.
Winds in the mountain: Easterly moderate/strong wind.
Winds in the plane: North-easterly also very strong wind in the morning and partly decreasing in the evening.
Sea conditions: Very choppy sea.
Remarks: Very disturbed weather conditions due to precipitations and wind; significant snow drifts in the Prealps and in the hills, risk of significant snow drifts also in some areas of the plain.


Thursday 11 March

Sky conditions: Cloudy or very cloudy.
Precipitations: Lower risk of precipitations yet snow in the mountains and in the hills and chance of snow mixed up with rain in the plain, even if the phenomena will be more widespread and less frequent in comparison with Wednesday.
Temperatures: Slightly falling temperatures during the night and slightly rising temperatures during the day.

Remarks: below average temperatures especially during the day.


Friday 12 March

Scarcely or partly cloudy, low risk of precipitations, falling temperatures during the night and increasing during the day, widespread night frosts, chance of decreasing visibility during the coldest hours.

ATTENTION From Tuesday afternoon / evening on and until Thursday morning significant snowfalls in the Prealps and in the hills; high risk of snowfalls also in the plain with risk of significant snow drifts. Strong Bora.
